Travelling from Nijar you can discover some of the marvels of the autonomous region of Andalusia.

In the province of Granada, the castle of La Calahorra, Guadix and its trogolodyte cave-dwellings are worth mention, as well as little towns of Trevelez and Yegen up towards the peaks of the Sierra Nevada, and of course the city itself with its arab quarter (Albaycín), the Cathedral and the extraordinary palaces and gardens of the Alhambra.

You can also head along the Granadan coast to Salobreña, Almuñecar or La Herradura.
